Huawei's Vision for Smarter Finance: GITEX GLOBAL 2024 Insights

On the first day of GITEX GLOBAL 2024 in Dubai, the Huawei Finance Forum unveiled its theme: "Boost Resilience, Reshaping Smarter Finance Together." This event was dedicated to exploring the future of financial infrastructure, emphasizing digital transformation and ecosystem development to help financial institutions gain a competitive edge. In the past 15 years, China's finance sector has transformed significantly, driven largely by the influence of FinTech giants. As Chinese banks embarked on their digital journeys, Huawei developed a Financial Services Industry (FSI) solution framework, aimed at enhancing customer resilience, agility, and intelligence.

Alvin Feng, Director of Global Marketing and Solution Sales at Huawei Digital Finance Business Unit, emphasized that Huawei's value to its customers extends beyond products and solutions to encompass global best practices, a worldwide ecosystem, and a comprehensive digital talent system in China. Huawei has outlined its vision for reshaping resilient financial infrastructure using the 4-Zero approach: Zero Downtime, Zero Wait, Zero Touch, and Zero Trust. Achieving these requires integrating cloud technologies, network, storage, and computing solutions into a cohesive, end-to-end resilient system.

Modernizing applications is crucial for boosting agility, and Huawei has aided many banks in shifting from traditional centralized architectures to modern cloud-native distributed environments. Enhancing intelligence involves real-time data operations, forming the bedrock of data intelligence. Concurrently, Huawei is driving the adoption of Generative AI in banking through collaborative innovations across various scenarios. Huawei is at the forefront of intelligent finance's future, integrating AI innovation with robust infrastructure.

Their "All Intelligence" vision underscores a commitment to creating resilient, secure, and efficient financial ecosystems, fostering smarter and more inclusive services in the AI era, as noted by Dr. Jassim Haji, President of the International Group of Artificial Intelligence and Executive Advisor at HH Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Center. Roger Wang, Director of Partner Development & Sales at Huawei Digital Finance Business Unit, shared that the company is actively engaged in partnerships with both global and local ecosystem players to offer customers valuable scenario-based solutions.

Huawei continues to enhance customer success through its global best practices, innovative business and architectural strategies, and exceptional service and support.
