Nathan Lyttle, a standout senior wrestler for Harmony High School (49-0), has been named the Sentinel Varsity Boys Wrestler of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional skill and dedication. Lyttle's impressive journey culminated in a dominant performance at the 2025 FHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Kissimmee, where he secured the 113-pound title after a remarkable run. This victory followed a third-place finish at 106 pounds in 2024, showcasing his resilience and strategic growth as a competitor. The transformation wasn't solely due to Lyttle’s efforts; the guidance and support of experienced teammates, particularly last year’s 157-pound state champion Shawn McAllister, played a crucial role. Coach Vic Lorenzano emphasized Lyttle’s intelligence, purposeful approach, and technical prowess, highlighting the key elements that contributed to his success.
Lyttle’s undefeated record – 49 wins across all competitions – solidified his status as a top performer, earning him a spot on the All-Area team last year and ultimately leading to this prestigious award. This victory marks the second time a Harmony wrestler has achieved the feat of finishing as an undefeated state champion, following Nelson Toro’s 285-pound title win in 2023 with a 46-0 record. Toro’s success demonstrated the potential within the Harmony wrestling program, setting a high standard for future athletes.
