Rain Interrupts BMW Ladies Championship as Hannah Green Leads

Rainy weather has significantly impacted the second round of the BMW Ladies Championship in Paju, South Korea. On Friday, heavy rainfall forced the suspension of play, preventing any players from completing their rounds. Leading the tournament is Hannah Green from Australia, who maintains her position at the top of the leaderboard after Thursday’s impressive round.

Green carded a score of 8-under 64 at the Seowon Valley Country Club during the first round and continued her strong performance, marking 4-under through just nine holes before the suspension. Her tournament score stands at 12-under. Ashleigh Buhai of South Africa is closely trailing, sitting two strokes behind Green at 10-under, also completing nine holes before rain halted play.

The tournament schedule has now been adjusted with the second round set to continue on Saturday morning, before the third round kicks off later that day. Fortunately, weather forecasts predict no further rain, offering hope for a smooth finish by Sunday. This event boasts a stellar lineup, featuring eight of the LPGA Tour's top 10 players and 17 of the 18 current season winners.

Notably absent is American Nelly Korda, who had to withdraw due to a neck injury. This prestigious tournament promises an exciting conclusion as top golfers vie for the title under clearer skies.
