The Trojans demonstrated a powerful offensive performance, punctuated by three home runs, effectively countering an early Gaels’ lead and ultimately securing the win. Mason Edwards proved instrumental as the winning pitcher, showcasing remarkable control and resilience throughout his 5.1 innings of work, conceding only three earned runs while recording six strikeouts. Caden Hunter delivered a clutch performance, earning the save by closing out the final four innings with unwavering determination. Initially trailing 3-1 in the early frames, the Trojan offense ignited a dramatic comeback. With a runner on base and two outs in the fourth inning, first baseman Augie Lopez unleashed a towering two-run homer, expertly launching the ball to right-center field, skillfully tying the game and shifting the momentum. Immediately following this pivotal hit, junior Ethan Hedges capitalized on the opportunity, driving in a solo run with a well-placed shot, effectively putting the Trojans ahead by a single run.
